8 Getting to those who are going on caravan holiday for the first time

Many of the summer out with a caravan for the first time and there is much to consider and keep in your head. Here is some good advice from one of our real camping veterans who have been out many times with a caravan through Sweden and Europe. Enjoy!

1st Drive carefully and take it easy

Most important of all is so obvious that it seems silly to mention, but also the Council that most need to absorb: take it easy! Do not rush when you are going away, we at First Camp is accustomed to it can be a little later than planned check-in, call and warn us so we make sure that someone let you, or so we put a key in our check-box. If you drive carefully, we promise to take care of you and do everything to ensure you'll get a great holiday together!

2nd Do not forget to book

Many people associate the caravan life of freedom and flexibility and it is right and proper. At the same time so that during the actual peak (differs slightly depending on where in the country you plan to go and also depends a little on the weather, but usually the month of July), as many who want us banquet that it is best to book in advance. If you already are on the move and it's too late to change the campsite or holiday park after breakfast, as the evening wears one gets, the greater the risk that it is full. A First Camp destinations turnover usually 70-100 cars per day in the summer.

3rd Leave the bike at home (at least Mom and Dad)

Almost all First Camp rents bikes and can be booked in advance. Maybe you want children to have their own and then it is best to pack with them, but adult bicycle hire you smoothly for us and then you save much space in the caravan. And while you're booking, check out what else is going to rent, there may be other things that are more comfortable to lend on the spot than to drag along ...

4th Shop for staples locally

There are stores on all First Camp and foods such as milk and fresh bread, cold drinks, fruits, vegetables, sweets etc. are available on site.

5th Take advantage of our knowledgeable receptionisters skills

Do not be afraid to ask, on what happens the next few days the site and its immediate area, ask for tips on favorite places in the region, concerned about how service works, etc.. We are here to help you and your family, so please help us!

6th Double-check the awning

It may be prudent to ensure that it is the right awning with, often do not fit an older awning with a new caravan and vice versa, and it's sad when packed with a large awning and then not have any use for it .

7th Practice caravan back

If you have not backed down with the caravan before it runs out to the large parking lot nearby when it is empty, set out camping chairs as obstacles and work out! It's very much more pleasant to drift into the camp several days later and made those first beginner misses the empty parking lot instead of the hundreds of other caravans.

8th Pack correctly

Read on how heavily you may pack the car and caravan and keep a check so that you do not overload. Check the balance of the rig as well, perhaps you need to move some heavy packages at the back (or forward) in the wagon or car before it became law.
Good luck, we hope to see you soon and please write and tell us how late first caravan holiday went!
Sincerely, Marcus Peterson at First Camp
