First Camp Environmental Policy

We want to be the best environmental choice for our guests. We will continuously seek opportunities to improve the environment and use natural resources more effectively to contribute to the sustainable development of tourism industry. Our natural product is made clear. Examples of how we can do this:

  • Reduce our energy and water
  • Using electric power for transportation vehicles within the facility to the extent possible
  • Other machinery must be energy efficient and run on the best options
  • Buying into the reflection
  • Working out an effective and comprehensive waste separation
  • Building support for environmental awareness among our guests and employees
  • Influence suppliers and partners to accelerate their environmental
  • Working with continuous improvements and comply with applicable environmental laws, regulations and rules


Measuring and documenting the environmental impact

We will comply with the following supplies and activities for the future to do even more for a cleaner environment:

• Electricity and water (preferably broken down with kitchen / counter, shower / wash possible. Pool)

• Consumption of detergent, shampoo (guest) & Pesticides

• The volume of waste

• Transport in the area


First Camp targets 2010

In parallel with the environmental objectives set up in general in our shared the Green Key Program, First Camp, set the following targets for 2010:

1st Inform suppliers and partners about our environmental

2nd Reduce electricity consumption in 2010

3rd More efficient waste sorting / recycling work

Goal 1: Inform our current suppliers about our environmental work, encourage them to accelerate their own environmental performance and set higher environmental standards for new suppliers. Responsible for monitoring: local manager

Goal 2: Reduce electricity consumption by making guests aware of our environmental policy. Please inform our guests about our environmental work through our website and in all the other channels we have out to our guests (välkomstbroschyr, bulletin boards, in the reception and care homes, cottages, etc.). Reduce heat in unused cabins / rooms. Replacing manual switches to the presence of soft and implement energy-efficient heating options. The goal is to reduce electricity consumption by 5% (measured in kwh) in 2010 compared to change in the number of guest nights.

Goal 3: Dispose of as much municipal systems can, in an effective way for us, deal with it. This applies both to our own waste and guests.
